Basake Holy Stars cruised to an impressive tenth consecutive home win in the Ghana Premier League after edging Karela United at the AAK II Sports Arena on Sunday, April 5, 2026.

Bismark Teye’s 61st-minute strike proved decisive in an entertaining contest between the two sides.

An evenly contested first half ended goalless, but Teye came off the bench to break the deadlock, scoring what turned out to be the winner and securing all three points for the hosts.

The victory lifts Holy Stars from 9th to 7th place in the league standings on 40 points, one behind sixth-placed Karela United.

Karela United’s struggles on the road continue, as they were denied back-to-back wins. â€˜The Pride and Passion’ will look to bounce back when they host Heart of Lions in their next match.

Holy Stars, meanwhile, will aim to build on this result when they travel to Abrankese to face Nations FC.
