Kobbie Mainoo enjoying progress at Manchester United under Michael Carrick

Kobbie Mainoo has said he is making the most of every moment this season at Manchester United as he continues to develop with the support of Michael Carrick.

The 21-year-old midfielder has become a key figure in the side and spoke warmly about the trust being shown in him.

“I have loved every minute, even though they haven’t all been wins. It is amazing to be on the pitch, especially under the boss now. I am feeling the confidence from him,” Mainoo said, highlighting how much he values the faith placed in him. A new long-term contract is close, with only the final details left before an agreement is confirmed, according to reports in England.

Mainoo has already made 25 appearances in all competitions this season, contributing three assists as he cements his place in Manchester United’s midfield.

The English-Ghanaian was also one of United’s standout performers in their game against Brentford this evening, earning a 7.8 rating from Sofascore for his composed display in the middle of the park.
