'I want to play till I can't walk' â?? 38-year-old Albert Adomah vows to keep going

At 38, with a record-breaking EFL career behind him, Albert Adomah has no intention of slowing down.

The Ghanaian winger, who made history as the first player to register 100 appearances for six different English clubs, says he will only stop playing when his body refuses to cooperate.

"I want to play till I can't walk. I want to stop playing football on my own terms," Adomah told Flashscore. "When I can't manoeuvre properly on the pitch, then I will know it's time for me to stop playing. However, I believe I can still carry on."

Adomah currently turns out for League Two side Walsall, still doing what he has done for nearly two decades: running the flank, delivering crosses, and causing problems for defenders.

He takes his future year by year. "If I feel great, I carry on. It also depends on if a club wants me as well."

From non-league Harrow Borough to the Premier League with Aston Villa, via Bristol City, Middlesbrough, Nottingham Forest, QPR, and Cardiff, Adomah's journey has been extraordinary. But he is not ready to write the final chapter just yet.

As long as his legs carry him, Albert Adomah will keep playing. And when they don't? That is when he will walk away â€“ and not a moment before.
