Karela United left it late to secure a hard-fought victory over Swedru All Blacks at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Sunday, thanks to Zaidan Mohammed’s last-gasp winner.

An evenly contested first half ended goalless, and it appeared the spoils would be shared before Mohammed struck deep into stoppage time to hand the hosts a dramatic victory.

The â€˜Pride and Passion’ remain 8th in the league standings with 49 points following the win and will look to make it three consecutive home victories when they host relegation-threatened Nations FC on the final day of the campaign.

For Swedru All Blacks, the defeat sees them slip to 14th place on 42 points, leaving them in danger heading into the final round of fixtures. Kassim Mingle’s side must win their last game to guarantee their survival in the top flight.

They will travel to Kumasi for a high-stakes clash against Asante Kotoko on the final day of the season.
