The Chief Executive Officer of the Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF), Mrs. Justina Nelson, has been adjudged CEO of the Year – Minerals Investment at the 10th Ghana CEO Summit and Awards held in Accra on May 28, 2026.

The recognition highlights her leadership and efforts in strengthening Ghana’s minerals investment framework, while positioning MIIF as a strategic institution for sustainable national development.

Since assuming office in January 2025, Mrs. Nelson has spearheaded a series of institutional reforms at MIIF, with a focus on improving governance structures, enhancing compliance systems and maximising returns from Ghana’s mineral wealth for both present and future generations.

Organised by CEO Network Ghana, the Ghana CEO Summit has evolved into one of the country’s leading platforms for dialogue among chief executive officers, policymakers, government officials and institutional leaders on issues of national development and leadership excellence.

This year’s edition was held under the theme: “Accelerating Ghana’s Economic Transformation: Driving Bold Reforms through Leadership, Technology and Industrialisation for Sustainable Growth.”

The event brought together participants from the corporate, public and diplomatic sectors, and was attended by President John Dramani Mahama, Governor of the Bank of Ghana Dr Johnson Asiama, as well as other senior government officials and industry leaders.

Mrs. Nelson’s award adds to growing recognition of MIIF’s evolving role in leveraging Ghana’s mineral resources to support economic transformation and long-term fiscal sustainability.
