Bournemouth continued their impressive run of form with a 2-0 Premier League victory over Leeds United at the Vitality Stadium, as Evanilson scored for the fourth consecutive league match.

The Brazilian striker took advantage of a costly mistake by Leeds goalkeeper James Trafford to put the hosts ahead before half-time, taking his goal tally for the season to five. Substitute Amine Adli then sealed the points with a late second goal in stoppage time.

The result extended Bournemouth's winning run to six matches in all competitions. Even more impressively, the south coast side have achieved that sequence without conceding a goal, underlining their growing defensive strength.

For Leeds, the defeat was another disappointment as they failed to end a run of four Premier League matches without a victory.

Daniel Farke's side began the contest with positive intent and appeared to have made the perfect start when Dominic Calvert-Lewin found the net inside the opening 11 minutes.

The England forward connected with a delivery from James Justin and forced the ball over the line.

However, a lengthy Video Assistant Referee (VAR) review overturned the goal after replays showed the ball had made contact with Calvert-Lewin's hand before entering the net.

Despite having their early breakthrough ruled out, Leeds continued to look dangerous going forward. Harry Wilson came close to giving the visitors the lead three minutes later after cutting inside from the right, but his effort rolled narrowly past the near post.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, struggled to establish an attacking rhythm during the opening stages. Ryan Christie and Adrien Truffert both tried their luck from distance, but neither managed to seriously trouble the Leeds defence.

The home side eventually took the lead 14 minutes before the interval, although the goal came as a result of a defensive error rather than sustained attacking pressure.

Leeds goalkeeper Trafford was responsible for the mistake after receiving possession from defender Tarik Muharemovic following a goal-kick. His attempted pass to Ao Tanaka was poorly judged, allowing Netherlands international Justin Kluivert to intercept the ball.

Kluivert quickly took advantage of the opportunity, playing the ball across to Evanilson, who made no mistake in finding the back of the net.

The goal was a significant setback for Leeds, particularly given their defensive record heading into the weekend. Before the latest round of Premier League fixtures, only Arsenal had conceded fewer goals than Farke's team.

Trafford's error therefore proved particularly damaging, as Leeds had largely managed to restrict Bournemouth's attacking opportunities before the breakthrough.

The second half produced relatively few clear-cut chances, with both sides finding it difficult to create opportunities in the final third.

The closest either team came to scoring before the closing stages arrived in the 65th minute. Bournemouth's Marcus Tavernier struck a low, powerful free-kick towards goal, but Trafford responded with an impressive save to prevent the hosts from extending their advantage.

With the match reaching the 94th minute, substitute Junior Kroupi supplied a pass for fellow replacement Amine Adli, who finished from close range to make it 2-0.

The late goal ensured Bournemouth completed another victory without conceding, extending a remarkable sequence of six consecutive wins across all competitions.
