Former Germany coach Joachim LÃ¶w is set to earn â‚¬150,000 per month in a short-term deal to lead Ghana's Black Stars at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with personal terms now close to being finalised.

The 2014 World Cup-winning manager is on the verge of accepting the role following extensive negotiations over the last 24 hours, according to multiple sources.

LÃ¶w, who spent 15 years in charge of Germany and guided Die Mannschaft to glory in Brazil 2014, brings unparalleled experience at the highest level of international football. His tactical pedigree could provide the stability Ghana desperately needs following Otto Addo's departure.

The Black Stars have been without a permanent head coach since Addo was dismissed after a poor run of friendly results. With just over two months until Ghana's World Cup opener against Panama on June 17 in Toronto, the Ghana Football Association has been under pressure to make a swift appointment.

LÃ¶w's short-term mandate would be clear: guide Ghana through a challenging Group L that also includes England, Croatia, and Panama.

Official confirmation is expected in the coming days should final details be ironed out. If confirmed, the appointment would mark a major coup for Ghanaian football, landing one of the most decorated coaches in world history.
